Our Programs

In an effort to support both individuals with IDD and their families, we offer several programs.

Life Program Focus Areas

We lead, teach, and mentor with hands on activities so our Pals will have experiences in their learning.

Bible Study: We want our Pals to have a foundational understanding of the Bible and what being a Christ-follower looks like in every aspect of their lives. We have morning devotion and worship as a large group in the morning, and group Bible Study classes later in the day.

Life Skills: where the participant can grow in self-advocacy, social awareness, safety, and daily living skills.Community engagment, Volunteering, and Job Readiness: This creates  opportunities  to gain new skills that lead to friendships, character-building, discovery of interests, and community-based employment for some of our Pals.

Reading/Writing:  The Pals grow their current reading and writing levels to positively affect their independance. They explore other methods of communication such as American Sign Language. They work on typing/keyboarding skills to help them better communicate with the world.

Vocation Skills: The Pals work on all aspects of job readiness skills, and for those who want to work in the community and can, we try to get them jobs. We work on independent task building and instilling a sense of confidence in their abilites.

Creative Arts: Here is where our Pals develop their artistic side and learn creativity through hands on art, music, and drama. Coming soon: Drum corp!

Science, History, Horticulture: These classes are on a rotating basis to help our Pals know and understand the world God created and our place in it. Coming soon: Garden club!

L.E.A.F. (Life Enrichment and Fulfillment): The Pals  are introduced to and explore hobbies and interests in hopes they will find enjoyment and personal fulfillment in things other than TV and video games.

Exercise and Movement: We want our Pals to be in good health, stay active, and not become sedentary. We intentionally move our bodies and get fresh air (weather permitting) for 30 minutes every day.

Self Advocacy: We help our Pals learn and know themselves, discover what they like, what they truly don't like and how to advocate for themselves in healthy ways.

Community Involvement: Our goal is get our Pals out in the community, exploring and serving.
